Totally unprepared for his reaction to the ebony beauty and her soulful brown eyes, the surprise reaction he gets in turns makes him send Syleena running for the door.
Five years later they meet again, with her on the arm of another man. Will Storm be able to make Syleena understand the mistake he made all those years ago?

Let me know what you think.

A small excerpt from "Taken by Storm"

I wanted to get everyone another taste of my first IR romance that will soon be released by Ocean's Mist Press called "Taken by Storm.

Please let me know what you think.

Taken by Storm

Shaking off his grip, she took a step back toward the open doorway. She wasn’t going to let Storm force her into doing something that she wasn’t ready to admit to yet. “No, I’m keeping my date with Brian. I thought about him a lot last night and I don’t think I’m giving him a fair chance. So I’m going to spend as much time as I can with him while I’m here.”
“Who knows,” she shrugged. “Maybe April is right and we’ll be related before you know it.”
Syleena waited for Storm to blow up, but instead he just stood by the edge of the table and stared at her. There was almost an eerie calmness to his face and eyes. She wrapped her arms around her body at the sudden chill in the room.
“Don’t do it Syleena,” Storm threatened. “I’ll let you us Brian as shield a little longer, but don’t ever think you’ll walk down the aisle with him.”
“I’m not your sister. You can’t give me orders and expected me to obey them. I may be a guest in your house, but that doesn’t make you my keeper.” Syleena snapped. She ran out of the room upstairs to her bedroom.
“Oh, I don’t want to be your keeper Syleena and you’ll figure that out soon enough.” Storm muttered.

Well I get to do a chapter for the online read called "Stone Sober" and my turn is up now. So, I had to push my books to the side, so I can focus on doing this wonderful read justice.

The chapter I have to do is seven. So please after it is posted let me know what you thought of it. I've never done anything like this before, so hopefully it will turn out wonderful.

I've been having a lot of fun working on it.

Staying busy

Sorry. I haven't posted in a couple of days. I have been so busy working on the sequel to Loving True called Slow Seduction. So far I think its pretty good. It's another IR romance. This time te two main characters are Jenisha Roman and Clinton Campbell. You get a peek at them in Loving True and after writing briefly about them. They were calling for their own story. I can't deny them their wish so I started working on them a few months back.

In addition, I'm working on a IR story about a very sexy cop. I haven't gotten that far on this story yet. I think I finished chapter four yesterday. I only work on this one when Slow Seduction starts to turn into writer's block for me.

Well, just wanted to update you on what was going on with me.

Until next time.

Loving True excerpt

Everyone here's a small excerpt of Loving True. I'm still not quite finished with it yet, but I wanted everyone to get a feel for my hero Hayward Campbell.

Let me know what you think.

Chapter One
Construction industrialist Hayward Campbell walked across the porch of his newly remolded home and squinted in the bright morning sunlight. It was July, and up in the mountains it meant scorching sun and cool breezes. He let his robe hang open, enjoying the breeze across his naked chest, and the slight flapping of his green silk boxers against him. He sighed and stepped on the dew covered grass, the soft green grass felt good to his bare feet as he sauntered along.
He was in no hurry, the peace fullness of his cabin was the thing he needed, and hopefully in time, it could help to mend his battered heart. Nothing could ever fix the damage that she had done. But if what everyone said was true, maybe he could learn to live with it.
Hayward slowed his gait. Unconsciously he caught the edge of his robe and pulled it together. Someone had moved in the house next door because the For Sale sign was gone. He felt a burst of anger at the intruder; this was his peace of heaven. Who would dare invade his paradise?
How could he not notice someone was moving in next door? Was he so locked away inside this house that not once did the sound of a moving truck echo through his ears? Just how long had the For Sale been missing from the yard? A month? A week? He really couldn’t remember the last time he saw the tan sign next door. His real estate broker had tried to make the owner an offer for him, but the guy never would accept any of his offers.
He had lost count how many females had rented the house only to leave after two months of living there. Rural Montana wasn’t a place most women want to live in the first place, so he still didn’t until why so many moved in next door.
There weren’t any clothing stores or restaurant for miles and he loved that. The unfortunate women who had moved next door found out rather quickly and moved rather quickly.
The further away he was from the fast paced speed of the city the calmer his life was. That kind of life had cost him something precious and he wasn’t about to be pulled back into the lifestyle again for anyone, no what how much his family wanted it.
His brother called him last week and tried to coach him into coming back for a little visit, but he turned him down instantly. Now, he loved his brother however it was past time Clinton stopped trying to heal his wounds. His like the pain the memories caused him, it made him realize how being focused only on money shattered his life.
Rubbing the side of his eyes with the back of his hand, he blinked some of the sleep from his dark blue eyes and wondered about his new neighbor. Would it be another woman this time? The last females who had lived there within six months of each other thought he might need a little ‘extra’ neighborly hospitality, but he shot their ideas rather quickly. He didn’t move out here to find a warm body to his bed doing the winter months.
Hayward couldn’t want to find out who was the next person was that decided to take on the chance of living in that huge house next door. It didn’t matter if it was a family, a man, or a woman. As long as they left his to his own devices he would be the best neighbor that anyone could ask for. He was about to turn and go back into the house the sound of a speeding car coming down the street caught his attention.
A firecracker red Mustang pulled up into the driveway next door and the roaring engine became a soft purr before it was shut off. Well, his question was about to be answered in a few seconds. Please don’t let it be another lonely female looking for a man, because he wasn’t about to fit into the role ever again in his life.
The car door swung open then as he watched, a pair of well-toned cocoa legs appeared, followed by a nicely firm bottom encased in blue jean shorts. She got out of the car, stretched, took in a long full breath, and his blood warmed at the sight. He would swear a plain white t-shirt never looked so good.

A bright new week

I'm really hoping to get another excerpt from one of my books posted today or no later than tomorrow. I've been so busy this past weekend that I haven't had any free time for myslef, but I do want to post something else for everyone to read.

Just keep an eye out.

Thanks!

Loving True/Slow Seduction

First, I have to let you know that Loving True is my baby. I love Hayward Campbell so much. I think he's a perfect alpha male with all the flaws that comes with being such a strong personality type. Now don't get me wrong this guy has FLAWS! It's going to take a very strong and supportive woman to deal with all the craziness and maddness that he'll toss her way.

I believe I found that woman in True Williams. True has her own personal problems that she has to get over from her past and learning to trust again is a BIG part of it. However, I feel these two people are meant to be the next super IR couple.

I finished this book last year, but I haven't sent it off to OMP yet. I wanted to go over it one more time to make sure everything looked perfect.

In addition to Hayward being a super HOT alpha male. He has an equally hot semi-alpha male brother named Clinton Campbell. He has his own hot story called Slow Seduction. This story is also finished, but I wanted to check it one more time too.

I know that Hayward and Clinton Campbell will make a wonderful addition to the new IR romances on the market out there today in e-publishing.

I'll let everyone know when I've submitted these two book and what the outcome is.

Busy day.

Well, I just want to thank all the people who keep coming by and posting to my blog. You really don't know how much it means to me. I love reading what everyone has to say.

Today was a busy day for me. I added three new chapters to a sequel I'm working on, but I've to start researching a new book that I'm have a rough draft for. So far it has gotten pretty good feedback from my critique partners.
