Loving True excerpt

Everyone here's a small excerpt of Loving True. I'm still not quite finished with it yet, but I wanted everyone to get a feel for my hero Hayward Campbell.

Let me know what you think.

Chapter One
Construction industrialist Hayward Campbell walked across the porch of his newly remolded home and squinted in the bright morning sunlight. It was July, and up in the mountains it meant scorching sun and cool breezes. He let his robe hang open, enjoying the breeze across his naked chest, and the slight flapping of his green silk boxers against him. He sighed and stepped on the dew covered grass, the soft green grass felt good to his bare feet as he sauntered along.
He was in no hurry, the peace fullness of his cabin was the thing he needed, and hopefully in time, it could help to mend his battered heart. Nothing could ever fix the damage that she had done. But if what everyone said was true, maybe he could learn to live with it.
Hayward slowed his gait. Unconsciously he caught the edge of his robe and pulled it together. Someone had moved in the house next door because the For Sale sign was gone. He felt a burst of anger at the intruder; this was his peace of heaven. Who would dare invade his paradise?
How could he not notice someone was moving in next door? Was he so locked away inside this house that not once did the sound of a moving truck echo through his ears? Just how long had the For Sale been missing from the yard? A month? A week? He really couldn’t remember the last time he saw the tan sign next door. His real estate broker had tried to make the owner an offer for him, but the guy never would accept any of his offers.
He had lost count how many females had rented the house only to leave after two months of living there. Rural Montana wasn’t a place most women want to live in the first place, so he still didn’t until why so many moved in next door.
There weren’t any clothing stores or restaurant for miles and he loved that. The unfortunate women who had moved next door found out rather quickly and moved rather quickly.
The further away he was from the fast paced speed of the city the calmer his life was. That kind of life had cost him something precious and he wasn’t about to be pulled back into the lifestyle again for anyone, no what how much his family wanted it.
His brother called him last week and tried to coach him into coming back for a little visit, but he turned him down instantly. Now, he loved his brother however it was past time Clinton stopped trying to heal his wounds. His like the pain the memories caused him, it made him realize how being focused only on money shattered his life.
Rubbing the side of his eyes with the back of his hand, he blinked some of the sleep from his dark blue eyes and wondered about his new neighbor. Would it be another woman this time? The last females who had lived there within six months of each other thought he might need a little ‘extra’ neighborly hospitality, but he shot their ideas rather quickly. He didn’t move out here to find a warm body to his bed doing the winter months.
Hayward couldn’t want to find out who was the next person was that decided to take on the chance of living in that huge house next door. It didn’t matter if it was a family, a man, or a woman. As long as they left his to his own devices he would be the best neighbor that anyone could ask for. He was about to turn and go back into the house the sound of a speeding car coming down the street caught his attention.
A firecracker red Mustang pulled up into the driveway next door and the roaring engine became a soft purr before it was shut off. Well, his question was about to be answered in a few seconds. Please don’t let it be another lonely female looking for a man, because he wasn’t about to fit into the role ever again in his life.
The car door swung open then as he watched, a pair of well-toned cocoa legs appeared, followed by a nicely firm bottom encased in blue jean shorts. She got out of the car, stretched, took in a long full breath, and his blood warmed at the sight. He would swear a plain white t-shirt never looked so good.

A bright new week

I'm really hoping to get another excerpt from one of my books posted today or no later than tomorrow. I've been so busy this past weekend that I haven't had any free time for myslef, but I do want to post something else for everyone to read.

Loving True/Slow Seduction

First, I have to let you know that Loving True is my baby. I love Hayward Campbell so much. I think he's a perfect alpha male with all the flaws that comes with being such a strong personality type. Now don't get me wrong this guy has FLAWS! It's going to take a very strong and supportive woman to deal with all the craziness and maddness that he'll toss her way.

I believe I found that woman in True Williams. True has her own personal problems that she has to get over from her past and learning to trust again is a BIG part of it. However, I feel these two people are meant to be the next super IR couple.

I finished this book last year, but I haven't sent it off to OMP yet. I wanted to go over it one more time to make sure everything looked perfect.

In addition to Hayward being a super HOT alpha male. He has an equally hot semi-alpha male brother named Clinton Campbell. He has his own hot story called Slow Seduction. This story is also finished, but I wanted to check it one more time too.

I know that Hayward and Clinton Campbell will make a wonderful addition to the new IR romances on the market out there today in e-publishing.

I'll let everyone know when I've submitted these two book and what the outcome is.

Busy day.

Well, I just want to thank all the people who keep coming by and posting to my blog. You really don't know how much it means to me. I love reading what everyone has to say.

Today was a busy day for me. I added three new chapters to a sequel I'm working on, but I've to start researching a new book that I'm have a rough draft for. So far it has gotten pretty good feedback from my critique partners.

Today has been a good day.

I've had a pretty good day. I got to work on my mss at lot while I was at work today. When I came home I got to type a lot of it in the computer. Hopefully, I'll be able to add at least three more chapters to the other mss I'm working on.

Well, that's all I have for now.

BTW I might be able to post another small excerpt of My Deepest Love later on in the week.

My Deepest Love excerpt

Here's a quick excerpt of the new mss that I'm working on. Please over look the typos. It's a very rough draft.

Chapter One

Traci Wells stared at the cell phone in her hand in disbelief. “I can’t believe she cancelled on me again.” She huffed shoving the phone back in the gym bag. “She knows we work out together three times a week. How could Cherise schedule another meeting?”
Getting out of the car she slammed the door and stormed into the local fitness club. She stopped at the desk signed in on the clipboard and then headed to the workout room. Pausing in the doorway, Traci watched the other members of all shapes and sizes sweating to the beat of their individual music. At her left a family was using the bikes as part of their cardio working out. A young woman in her twenties walked in front of them heading to her step class at the end of the hall. She noticed a couple of body builders using the weights through the glass window behind the bikes. Why would they want to have that much muscle on their bodies?
Sighing she made her way over to the mats, so she could stretch before the aerobics class. If she didn’t love potato chips the gym wouldn’t ever be a part of her life. But she needed a way to work off her favorite snack, so here she was. Her best friend suggested the low fat kind, but what’s the thrill of eating a plain chip? If she was going to cheat she would do it the right way. Tossing the bag to the side Traci fell to the mat already hating the night ahead.
After class tonight, she would have over to her sister’s work and give her the riot act. Cherise always found a way to back out the last minute when it came to going her with her. It was supposed to be a sisterly work out plan, but her big sister wasn’t keeping up her part of the deal.
Sure, she knew that Cherise stayed busy with the antique shop, but she needed more than that in her life. How did ever except to find that man she was always talking about if she stayed hid away in that shop?
Pushing her sister to the back of her mind, Traci folded one of her legs in front of her and reached over to touch her opposite toe. She loved stretching before her work out. It made the routine so much easier to follow. The step class she signed up for was really fast paced and it could break a weaker person in the same day. She had been in this class almost two months now and she loved it.
Moving her legs around, she reached for the other leg and felt the pull of her muscles getting ready for another nice of fun. She didn’t know if she really like working out as much as she enjoyed staring at all the gorgeous guys that came here. This was the hot spot for the best looking guys in town. Taking a quick glance around the crowded room, she noticed the guy she really looked it wasn’t here tonight.
She had never been into picking up guys at the club or the gym, but after taking a glance at him in those tight black gym shorts, she changed her mind quickly. But she didn’t have enough nerve to approach him, so she just stared at him from afar. Anyway, Cherise would have a fit she knew she even looked at the guy in the first place.
* * * *
Zack Drace was coming from his nightly kickboxing class when he noticed the woman again over on the mats stretching her sexy body. He knew he needed to head home, but he couldn’t resist taking a peek at her. Tonight the shoulder length brownish black hair was pulled into a tight bun shoving off her tempting neck. A white sports bra and matching short highlighted her chocolate brown skin. It showed off all her delicious curves. Walking over to an empty table, he found a seat where he could watch her without being detected. His interest in this one particular woman shocked him because out of all his brothers he favored red heads. Glancing at his watch Zack noticed his class had ended early, which meant he had at least ten extra minutes to watch her.
Leaning back in the chair, he pulled his water from his gym bag and took a quick drink. He always carried extra water with him because his kickboxing class always too a little extra out of him. He loved coming to the gym to work out and when his younger brother Richard had the chance he would come with him. Screwing the top back on his water, he sat it on the table and watched the object of his interest finish her stretching, then stand her. It didn’t go over his head that he wasn’t the only man checking out her sexy body and for some reason that bothered him. However, she seemed totally oblivious to him and the other men running their eyes up and down her body. She adjusted her sports bra and picked up her sky blue gym bag off the floor and turned in his direction.
Zack rested his back against the seat and tried to think of a way to get her into a conversation. He didn’t even know if she would be interested in dating a white man, but he could at least test the waters with a quick hello. He saw that she was getting closer to him, so he coughed to clear his throat. He didn’t want his voice catching when he was trying to impress her.
“Hi” He said the second she was within hearing range.
She paused in mid-step and started down at him. Her whiskey brown eyes blinked, then a smile spread across her full mouth. “Hi.” She whispered back and then she continued to the step class behind him.
Turning around in the seat, he noticed how the short hugged her well-defined bottom. Yes, there were some definite possibilities there if he could go by the look her saw in her eyes. The alarm went off on his watch and he cursed under his breath, Lee was going to kill him. This was the second time this month was he would be late for the Drace brother’s Wednesday night dinner.
Zack got up from the car and snatched his gym bag off the floor. Oh well, he didn’t care because he finally got to speak to the goddess in the white workout outfit. He hoped that she would be back tomorrow. Maybe then, he could introduce himself and see where things went from there. Whistling he strolled toward the front doors and went out with thoughts of her in his mind.

My Deepest Love

I just realized I have been so busy that I haven't updated my blog in a while. I've my newest IR mss called My Deepest Love. So far I've been able to write it without any huge problem coming into my path.

I'll probably will make it into a series like I mentioned in my last post. The others characters in the book are screaming for me to do so and how can I deny them what they want most out of life?

If I get a chance I'll post a little excerpt for everyone to read.
